I don't think one day after a release is the right time to push upgrades. Many sites simply don't work yet in IE8, others aren't even aware of a release yet. Let's wait till Microsoft pushes an IE8 update through Windows Update.

Well, Microsoft has rolled out IE8 through Windows Update now.
So maye it's time to "push forward"? :) -

IE 7 is WAY to old. So many things that's not being displayed correct in that version.
For example it doesn't render CSS the same way Firefox, Safari and IE8 does. Not to mention they way javascript is rendered... oh, the horror.
